In The Sky, Lord, In The Sky

He swung her up into a fireman's carry and laughed when she made a noise of surprise, trying to wiggle down. He walked all the way out to the hall before he set her lightly on her feet, kissing her cheek in apology. "That was just too much fun not to do, flower." He hugged her. "But we really need to get you something to eat because you are much too light." He took her hand and they strolled to the kitchen together. He felt very bouncy. She had kissed him of her own volition. She'd kissed him. There might be some hope in all this after all. They wandered into the kitchen and Stefan raised an eyebrow at him. It was still clearly earlier than he normally arrived, looking for food. And indeed, he wasn't so hungry but Penny was and that was enough for him. They sat at the table and waited for a while for the food to be done.
