Daddy Sang Bass
He stalked through the house, irritated. First Neila goes off the deep end, and now he lost Penny. He growled under his breath, wondering why she decided to feel adventurous today of all days. She hadn't even been to the kitchen and no one he'd asked had seen her. He had searched the whole upstairs and was on the staircase when he heard a faint pretty sound. He paused and strained to listen. It was...piano. He followed the the sound through the dining room and to a room that had not been used in a very long time. He pushed the door open, barely breathing. Surely it couldn't be...? He caught sight of Penny and a number of emotions rushed through him he didn't even take the time to sort it out. A bit disappointed, but relieved at the same time, he entered and sat down next to her, wicking away one of her tears. He knew how she felt. The melody she was playing was not familiar but he placed his hands on the keys and played a simple counterbalance to it. This calmed him but brought memories up he's rather stay down. He and his father used to play all the time before they...grew apart. The moment between Jasper and Penny needed no words and they just engrossed themselves into the music, letting it say all they needed to.
