Overwhelmed

"I couldn't leave you even if I wanted to." She was close to tears. He had worked so hard, was trying so hard to make her feel comfortable and wanted, but she just kept messing it up. She got up in order to sit beside him on the floor. "Jasper..." his name sounded so right coming from her mouth... "I need you. I don't know why you need me, but for as long as you'll have me, I'll be here." She closed her eyes against the tears welling inside them. She hadn't realized she had had that in her, but as soon as she said it, she knew it was true and knew that she had meant it. She just hoped that he knew what he was getting himself into with her...
