Jasper looked at her, her eyes wild. She was not taking this well. He could see bland recognition and denial in her face and he set the clipboard and glasses down slowly. He took a careful step forward, his hands spread in a peaceful gesture. "Penny, don't be afraid. It's just me. It's Jasper. I know you know me. Just calm down. Take a deep breath. Everything is going to be fine. I'm here; you won't be alone anymore. Just think about it. I'm not going to do anything. I'll stand right here. Take your time. I'm never leaving you again."
